“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce” - Karl Lagerfeld

Jasmine Bennetsen is a photographer and filmmaker working in visual storytelling, blending a background in engineering with a narrative-driven approach to photography and videography. Based in San Francisco, her work spans people, food, and product, unified by an attention to character, atmosphere, and intention.

As a published photographer and videographer, Jasmine is known not only for her technical precision but for her collaborative approach, working in close dialogue with editors, creatives, and clients to translate ideas into compelling visual narratives. While much of her work centers on people, identity, and lived experience, she brings the same storytelling sensibility to food and product imagery, creating visuals that feel considered, dimensional, and rooted in context.

Narrative is central to Jasmine’s practice. Whether crafting intimate portraits, editorial work, or product-driven imagery, she approaches each project as an opportunity to build visual cohesion and emotional continuity, balancing creative authorship with collaboration and intent. When narrative is not the primary focus, particularly in food work, clarity, texture, and intentional design take precedence.

Through PxlsCaptured, Jasmine offers portrait, editorial, food, product, and event-based work, approaching each project with care, intention, and respect for the story, object, or experience being represented.
